El Karate está un paso más cerca de ser Olímpico.

El Comité Organizador de Tokio 2020 anunció hoy que propone 18 eventos adicionales de 5 deportes al Comité Olímpico Internacional para su inclusión en los Juegos de la XXXII Olimpiada (Tokyo 2020)

La propuesta de Karate consiste en 8 eventos y 60 atletas. (3 pesos de Kumite masculino, 3 pesos de Kumite femenino, Kata masculino y Kata femenino. 10 atletas por cada categoría)
La decisión final la tomará el Comité Olímpico Internacional en la 129 sesión del COI en Río en Agosto del 2016. ..

The Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee today announced that it has proposed 18 additional events from 5 sports to the International Olympic Committee for the inclusion at the Games of the XXXII Olympiad (Tokyo 2020)
The proposal of Karate consist in 8 events and 60 athletes ( 3 weight classes Kumite female, 3 weight classes Kumite male, Kata female and Kata female and 10 athletes in each category.
The final decision will be made by the International Olympic Committee at the 129th IOC Session in Rio in August 2016 …
