WKF PRESIDENT DISCUSSES DEVELOPMENT OF KARATE IN AMERICA AT PKF CHAMPIONSHIPS

WKF President Antonio Espinós has expressed enthusiasm about the future of Karate in the American continent after attending the 2018 PKF Senior Championships which were held in Santiago (Chile) this past week.
Mr. Espinós travelled to Chile to meet with a number of key stakeholders in Pan American Karate. The progress of the sport in the continent and the growing passion of Karate in the region were among the points discussed during his visit.
WKF President had the opportunity to review the situation of Karate in the region with the Minister General Secretary of the Chilean Government Cecilia Perez Jara and the Undersecretary of Sports Kael Becerra Rojas. Also in attendance were the Chilean Karate Federation president Maria Angelica Coronil, the Pan American Karate Federation president Jose Garcia Maañon, and PKF honorary president William Millerson.
“The WKF is committed to continuing its close cooperation with all the members of the Karate family in the Pan American region. The PKF is a key actor in the development of Karate worldwide, and we are greatly looking forward to the continued progress of the sport there,” said WKF President Antonio Espinós.
