XII SOUTH AMERICAN GAMES ASUNCIÓN 2022 CLASSIFIED SANTIANGO 2023 - (CALI + ODESUR)

On October 3rd, 4th and 5th, the Karate competitions included in the Programme of the XII South American Games Asuncion 2022 took place. 

These Games were also qualifiers for the South American countries with a view to the Pan American Games Santiago 2023.

Likewise, activities were carried out prior to the start of the competitions, such as the Technical Congress and the Referee Team Meeting, activities which were supervised by the President of the Panamerican Karate Federation Dr. Jose Garcia Maañon.

The PKF President was accompanied by PKF Secretary General Juan Manuel Fernandez, CSK President Julio Escudero and CSK Chief Referee Henry Quinteros.

On Sunday 2nd October the karate congress was held, in which participated the coaches and technical directors of the delegations of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Curacao, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Surinam, Uruguay and Venezuela.

At the meeting, several doubts about the rules were clarified, as well as issues related to clothing and the fixture.  

Finally, the coaches of each delegation proceeded to sign the verification of rules.

I would like to express my congratulations to all the participating athletes and especially to those who have qualified for the Pan American Games Santiago 2023.

I also congratulate the participating Referees for their correct and professional work.
